2026 Employer Compliance Overview: Key Annual Requirements

Key obligations include providing Marketplace, WHCRA, CHIP, SBC, Medicare Part D, HIPAA, COBRA, and wellness program notices at specified times. Employers must also meet ERISA requirements, complete Medicare Part D disclosure to CMS, and file applicable IRS Forms 1094/1095 under Sections 6055 or 6056. Certain states also impose additional reporting requirements.

IBX & AmeriHealth Member Tool Enhancements & Key Updates for Employers

Independence Blue Cross (IBX) and AmeriHealth have enhanced their online Provider Finder and Care Cost Estimator tools on both their public websites and member portals. Updated member flyers are now available to reflect these improvements, making it easier for employees to navigate care options and estimate costs.
In addition, AmeriHealth announced new New Jersey legislation that will impact certain plan provisions in the coming months. Employers should be aware of these changes as implementation approaches.
Both carriers continue to provide educational resources and updates, including Medicare briefings, continuing education opportunities, newsletters, and audio recaps to help advisors and employer groups stay informed.
